Sweet Little Something 7

May 17, 2013

A Friday ritual – a wordless post: a personal photograph that captures a moment from the week. One photograph from Hannah, in the Southern Hemisphere and one from Ria, in the Northern Hemisphere.

Don’t forget to leave a “Haikument” in comments inspired by one of these photos. We’ve had some fantastic ones! Check them out here and here. No poetry degree required! You can use the  5/7/5 syllable count rule if you like, or create something unique. If you want to find out more about Haiku (and who doesn’t?), check this out.

From Hannah:

From Ria:

1 Ria Voros { 05.17.13 at 4:59 pm }

Kid and cat and window:
quiet contemplation
between two minds.

2 Maegan { 05.17.13 at 6:15 pm }

Cat: “I’ve heard of those
who roam these woods and hills, free”
Kid: “I’ve heard that too”.

3 Ria Voros { 05.17.13 at 6:25 pm }

4 Hannah Tunnicliffe { 05.18.13 at 1:41 am }

Come with me, black puss
We’ll see boats and villages;
Seaside adventures.

5 Allison { 05.18.13 at 3:20 am }

Floating home for sale.
Hate your neighbours? No problem,
Moving is a breeze

6 Louise { 05.18.13 at 1:58 pm }

How to top all that?
‘The cat sat on the mat’? No –
I stole that from Seuss.

little boxes float
like flotsam come here to rest
from a distant shore
